Back in Autumn 2008 Nelsons finalised a deal with Dumfries & Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP) to relocate approximately 180 houses in South Central Stranraer and another 180 homes in North West Dumfries.
The impressive contract forms part of the regeneration scheme heralded by DGHP in these two former council operated areas which will see several hundred new homes being built on reclaimed ground and some green field sites.
Currently Nelsons relocation teams are operating in the Darnia Avenue and Birch Way areas of Stranraer and to date have completed around 80 house moves since quarter 3, 2008. According to Nelson Removals staff, tenants seem happy with their new homes and there is enthusiasm for the project.
