Our container storage warehouse on the outskirts of Dumfries is purpose built and one of the best in the area, making Nelsons the ideal choice for storing your furniture and personal effects.
Container Storage - how it works:
Nelsons have a fleet of vehicles specially adapted to carry our plywood storage containers.
If you have booked storage with your move, we will load our vehicles with empty storage containers and bring them to your property, along with suitable transit packing materials.
Your furniture and personal effects are then packed directly into the containers and an inventory made detailing the quantity and condition of your possessions upon collection. This inventory is linked to the container and we keep a record of all the items you have stored with us.
Upon return to the warehouse, the sealed containers are unloaded from our lorry and stowed in our container warehouse for as long as you choose to leave your items with us. The containers are sealed with metal clips and your property cannot be tampered with whilst in store.
On the day you wish to move into your new property, our computer system locates your containers and they are loaded back onto the delivery vehicle and transported to your new home, where your belongings are checked out against the loading inventory and placed into your new home by our staff.
Nelsons also provide commercial storage for business and industrial relocations as well as Document Archive Storage for organisations in the local area.
